Our effective and interactive webinar series offers versatile information on data protection legislation, personal data processing and related roles and responsibilities. The training package prepares for the CIPP/E certification exam of the international data protection community IAPP.

The International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) is the world's largest organization of data protection professionals whose mission is to develop data protection expertise worldwide. IAPP's data protection certifications meet the internationally recognized ISO 17024: 2012 requirement standard.

The CIPP/E certificate (Certified Information Privacy Professional, Europe) requires a data protection expert to have versatile knowledge of data protection regulation and its application practices.

CIPP/E training corresponds to e.g. to the following questions

• What is the European data protection regulation as a whole?
• What are the principles of processing personal data in general and, for example, sensitive data in particular?
• What are the rights of the person himself in relation to his own data?
• What are the roles and responsibilities of the personal data processor and controller - what are the challenges associated with the division of roles?
• What should be considered regarding international data transfer?
• How do the supervisory authorities work, and what are the sanctions for data protection violations?

Method of implementation of the training:

The training is implemented as a set of four interactive webinar trainings. The structure of the training supports the assimilation of a wide body of knowledge, interactive learning and success in the exam.

The lectures, materials and certification exam are in English. Free-form discussions can be held in either English or Finnish. Lectures in English help to internalize English terminology well, the knowledge of which is important in the certification exam.

In addition, the students should read an exam book and do small homework assignments.

Certification exams:

You can take the certification exams included in the price of the training within a year of participating in the training - at a time that suits you. Exams are organized in different parts of Finland, and now the certification exam can also be taken remotely. The test centre's office fee (€60-70) is not included in the exam price.
